FERNANDA is an independent artist with vivid vision and a powerful voice currently based in Toronto, Canada.
Driven by strong acoustic rhythms and vintage psychedelia, her songwriting explores themes of ancestry, romance, rebellion, and liberation.
Weaving mystic folk, bohemian blues with fado and flamenco influences, her shapeshifting sound carries ancestral echoes into the present. “For me, the performance is a prayer. It feels ritualistic," says Fernanda. “When I’m on stage or in the studio I feel all the women in my bloodline there with me.”
Her vocal style and stage presence are inspired by the emotional depth of Stevie Nicks, Amália Rodrigues, Lhasa de Sela, and Lana Del Rey.
Her single “Oh Querida” (September 2026) incites the next evolution of her artistry inspired by fado and flamenco traditions, a prelude to her EP Visão (February 2027), a creative exploration of her Portuguese and Spanish roots.
Previous releases include Deer Trails: A Mystic Folk Tale (2025), her debut demo-tape inspired album reflecting her own evolution as an independent artist navigating purpose, identity, and creative devotion.
