extended ARTIST BIO
FERNANDA is an intuitive artist who draws inspiration from folklore, European ancestry, and the natural world. With a powerful voice and vivid vision, her vocal style and stage presence are influenced by the emotional depth and expressive power of Stevie Nicks, Florence Welch, Nancy Sinatra, Joan Baez, and Amália Rodrigues.
Her debut record 'Deer Trails: A Mystic Folk Tale' is a demo-tape inspired collection of songs for the pathfinder and poet. Following the story of a Pilgrim on a journey through field, forest, and beyond - she weaves folk, roots, rock, and blues into a mystic realm—carrying the spirit of folk into the modern world through storytelling and self-expression.
FERNANDA has captivated audiences on Manitoba festival stages including Harvest Moon Festival, Whoop & Holler Folk Festival, and the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. Expanding her reach beyond Manitoba, she has travelled to Toronto to record her debut album and perform live. Her work has been featured on CBC Manitoba Morning Radio, UMFM Campus Radio, and she was shortlisted for the 2026 Show Your Roots Folk Conference in Belfast, Ireland. With ambitions to tour nationally and internationally, FERNANDA is building a body of work rooted in revolutionized tradition, expressive curiosity, and artistic integrity.
